The skater bois of Miami

If there is a skater culture at Miami, sophomore computer science major Erik Johnson doesn’t consider himself a part of it. Sure, he rides his electric skateboard to class everyday, but that doesn’t make him a “skater.” 


The Makerspace, located on the third floor of King Library, is a hub for all things creativity.

A haven for all who are crafty and creative, the Makerspace opened in 2019 and quickly established itself as Miami’s premier center for step-by-step student craftsmanship. 


Despite Collin's Law requiring universities to implement hazing education in rush processes, Miami will not be changing anything about its Greek Life education.

Miami University to maintain Greek Life modules

Following the passing of Collin’s Law this summer, Ohio colleges and universities are now required to implement hazing education as well as prevent issues that allow hazing to continue. But Miami University has had a self-led Greek course since 2018, and at this time won’t be changing its requirements for Greek-affiliated students.
