All the introverts have known it to be true for many years; constant communication is tiring. Especially when we are expected to be retaining and maintaining friendships in more than one location, while also juggling half a dozen classes.

Unfortunately, anonymous posting allows for people to post whatever they want with little to no accountability. The only thing that YikYak can really do is delete the post and ban you from the app, which I don’t think is a harsh enough consequence for cyberbullying.

There are countless places I’ve never been, things I haven’t seen and people I haven’t met, and that gives me the most intense anxiety and tremendous excitement at the same time.
It’s reasonable to be upset by the fact that community leaders are bad-mouthing the student sector of the community, but throwing a tantrum only proves the point they were trying to make.
Fear doesn’t always lead to good policy making. Fear gets in the way of bringing people together.
