Miami searches for Associate Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education

Miami University is looking to fill the position of associate provost and dean for undergraduate education. The new position serves as the campus leader for undergraduate education. The dean will be responsible for raising the standard for undergraduate and teaching, promoting excellence in undergraduate education and maintaining Miami’s reputation. The three finalists for the position are Jeffrey Wanko, Amy Bergerson and Daryl Maeda. 


Miami has four butterfly gardens on campus, which feature local plants that provide nutrients to birds, butterflies and insects.

As spring comes into full bloom, plants and flowers around Oxford have exploded into color. For students with allergies, it’s a nightmare. For everyone else, it’s a welcome reprieve from the harrowing ordeal that is an Ohio winter. For the Miami University botany department, however, spring means the re-emergence of its passion project for the past five years: butterfly gardens.

COVID dashboard update

Miami University’s COVID-19 Dashboard listed 21 active cases as of April 25. Between April 14 and April 20, the university performed 2,973 student tests and 422 employee tests.
