Greek Life's Lack of Diversity means mixed experiences

Miami University's Greek community has lower portions of minority and international students than the general undergraduate population, creating mixed experiences for minority students in Panhellenic Association (Panhellic) and the Interfraternity Council (IFC).


Direct response to hazing long overdue

Last week, Miami's Interfraternity Council (IFC) suspended all fraternity activity due to reports of hazing and enforced an early initiation deadline for all new fraternity members.


Students registered for Greek recruitment down

The number of students registered for both formal Panhellenic and Interfraternity recruitment dropped between 10 and 15 percent this year, according to Miami's Cliff Alexander Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.


It's time to see through Miami's typical body image

If you ask anyone on campus if Miami University has a certain "image" many students would answer yes. Anyone who would disagree would have to just take a look around and notice the plethora of Lululemon, Vineyard Vines, Patagonia, and various other brand names that make Miami... well... Miami. Sometimes I see all three on one person plus that Louis Vuitton tote bag, and I'm thinking to myself, "I bet half of your closet is the amount of my semester's tuition"
