Fantasy books to read if you just need an escape

For as long as I can remember, I have loved sitting back and reading a nice, cozy book. However, with classes taking up every waking moment, I haven’t been able to read as much as I would prefer. So, I have made it my mission to actually read something other than theories on sociology. As I got back into reading more for myself, I figured that many people may feel the same way. Or, maybe, they need a place to start.

Season 3 of 'The White Lotus' was filled with drama, but not nearly as much tension as the previous seasons.

‘The White Lotus’ season 3 transports audiences to Thailand

For those looking for a tropical escape from the gloomy Midwest weather, look no further than Mike White’s “The White Lotus.”Season three of the hit Max series just concluded and was filled with drama. Each season follows a different group of vacationers at a different “White Lotus” resort: season one took place in Hawaii, season two took place in Italy and season three took place in Thailand.

‘Freaky Tales’ is precisely what it sounds like: Freaky

As I walked into the cinema this past Thursday to watch Pedro Pascal’s latest film, “Freaky Tales,” I realized that I had no idea what the movie was even about. I read online that it was an action/comedy with the star of “The Last of Us” as one of the film’s leads. What more do you really need to know?Evidently, a bit more than that, because the first 10-15 minutes left me very confused.

Throughout the year, the school has seen new restaurants in Armstrong Student Center as well as new options in the markets, but the biggest changes had to have been in the dining halls.

Pop Culture Convos - "Don't Worry Darling" and the future of Harry Styles

“Don’t Worry Darling” has been one of the most overexposed films in recent memory, with press fueled by the rifts between its director and stars. If no press is bad press, this movie could be huge, but what will that mean for everyone behind it? Today, co-hosts Maggie Peña and Sean Scott talk about how this film’s drama could impact Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles, plus what it may mean for the box office.

A pesto manifesto

The combination of sausage, pesto and feta cheese not only dances across the mind as an idea, but dances, too, across my taste buds. The perfect ratio creates the perfect dressing for the rotini, vastly exceeding the already high expectations I set as I walked into the dining room.
