Miami Board of Trustees approved campus renovations and new master's degree, announced arena update at February meeting

The Miami University Board of Trustees adopted resolutions to remove four buildings on Spring Street during the summer of 2026 and approved the Morris, Emerson and Tappan Hall renovations during the Dec. 12 meeting.  








‘A glimpse into the past’: Crafting the meaning of architecture

Alumni Hall used to be Miami University’s primary library. Authors’ names still line the rotunda, and George Washington still greets students as they walk in the front doors. Now, however, it’s primarily architecture and interior design students walking up the spiral staircases on their way to class. 







Miami’s annual Citizenship and Democracy Week to have Pulitzer Prize-nominated play from Broadway

To celebrate the founding fathers signing the Constitution in 1787, from Sept. 15 to 22, Miami will host a series of on-campus events and programs aimed at exploring the legacy of the Constitution, the political and legal system and the rights and responsibilities of members of a pluralistic democratic society, according to a press release. 


‘It's nice having someone to run with’: Weekly Pub Runs create friendship in community

A pack of eight runners began their jog at Enjoy Oxford and followed the pre-planned route down Main Street, over the Black Covered Bridge, onto the Oxford Area Trails (OATS) through Leonard Howell Park and then toward Bonham Road until, one by one, they ended up at Skipper’s Pub back on High Street.
