The Miami RedHawks continued their winning ways this past weekend.
The Miami RedHawks won a 27-24 battle against Northern Illinois Saturday at Yager Stadium, taking a 10-9 lead in the all-time series and getting its second straight victory over the Huskies.
On Saturday, the hockey team gambled with a “controlled chaos” approach, and it ended up costing it in the end, as the RedHawks lost 3-1 at the Steve ‘Coach’ Cady Arena.
On Friday, Miami (1-2-1) turned a three-goal first period and a strong penalty kill into a victory against Ferris State (1-1) at the Goggin Ice Center, giving Bergeron his first win as the head coach of the RedHawks.
For the second straight season, Miami had special colored-ribboned helmets made for its annual cancer-awareness game.
For now, the NCAA video games are still gone from the market but not from the hearts of the kids who played them.
It’s easy to assume the special teams unit doesn’t work as much as everyone else on the RedHawks.
