Then-redshirt junior offensive lineman Tommy Doyle (No. 54) leads the RedHawks onto the Yager Stadium turf before Miami's Sept. 28 showdown with Buffalo.

All 32 National Football League (NFL) teams were in attendance — virtually or in person — Monday, for Miami football’s pro day. Offensive lineman Tommy Doyle and defensive back Emmanuel Rugumba worked out at Dauch Indoor Sports Center, on the campus of Miami University.

Doyle is a six-foot-eight-inch, 325 pound three-year starter from Edina, Minnesota. He is the sixth best right tackle prospect in this year’s class, according to Sports Illustrated.

The draft hopeful said that he was happy with his performance in a press conference following the event.

“I thought it went really well,” Doyle said. “I felt like I checked all the boxes, I showed the type of athlete I am, and I had a good day.”

Doyle was invited to the NFL combine, but the event was cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rugumba is a five-foot-eleven-inch, Naperville, Illinois, native, who transferred from Iowa after the 2017 season. Sports Illustrated rates him as the 36th best outside cornerback prospect in the 2021 class.

There have been 40 former RedHawks taken in the NFL Draft. Most recently, the Los Angeles Rams selected kicker Sam Sloman with the 248th pick in 2020.

The draft starts on April 29, and is held in Cleveland, Ohio, this year.
