Pushing the boundary of family, legacy in ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

As an avid fan of the Avatar franchise, Dec. 19, the release date of “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” has been on my calendar for over a year. After seeing the second movie — “Avatar: The Way of Water” — in theaters two years ago and leaving the three hour screening with extreme Post-Avatar Depression Syndrome, I was hungry for more.

Miami, Fresno State prepare for Arizona Bowl game with pep rally

The Miami University RedHawks and California State University, Fresno Bulldogs football teams traveled hundreds of miles for the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl game, hosted in Tucson, Arizona, at the University of Arizona Casino Del Sol Stadium. On Dec. 26, the bands, cheer teams and fans from both programs met at the corner of North Toole Avenue and North Fifth Street at 5 p.m. for the annual pep rally.

Oxford City Council could have a turnover of four out of its seven members with the election fast approaching this fall. Only two incumbents are fighting for another term in their seats. Councilor David Prytherch and Vice-Mayor Chantel Raghu are termed out, leaving two guaranteed spots for new council members.

Charlie Kirk, right-wing activist and loyalist to President Donald Trump, was assassinated in front of a crowd of about 3,000 college students at Utah Valley University, who gathered to watch him debate young voters as part of his “Prove Me Wrong” series on the The American Comeback Tour.
