Week 2 Preview: Miami faces high-flying Buffalo Bulls

 A ridiculous interception by redshirt senior linebacker Ryan McWood set the RedHawks up with first and goal with mere seconds left on the clock, and redshirt senior running back Zach Kahn punched it in for the game-winning score, finalizing a 38-31 Miami victory over Ball State in Week 1.  Now, the RedHawks look to improve their record to 2-0 against the Buffalo Bulls in what looks like a tricky matchup for the RedHawks.

 One club holding the all-time records for the worst offense, the worst defense, and the worst goal differential in league history, and not setting all three together in the same season, is unprecedented in top-division soccer.   FC Cincinnati would be the first, and only, team to achieve this feat.  It’s only fitting for a club coming from this city, one where the sporting tradition is one of pain and suffering.  And I cannot wait for next season.

Every single player and coach for the Miami RedHawks will wear masks on the field this season.  “(Wearing a mask) isn’t fun, but it keeps us safe, and it’s gonna help keep me from getting (COVID) if one of my teammates gets it,” redshirt junior safety Sterling Weatherford said. “And I want to play football, so I’ll do what it takes.”

NELSON: Not granting Sibande’s transfer waiver is bad look for RedHawks

  Last April, Nike Sibande entered the transfer portal, eventually deciding to play at the University of Pittsburgh. He filed for a transfer waiver to be able to play for Pitt this season, as opposed to sitting out a year in occurrence with the standard transfer rules, but the NCAA denied his request. Sibande is now appealing the NCAA's decision.
