Men’s basketball searches for momentum in two midweek contests

“You will never succeed in this sport if you don’t learn how to take correction, because it’s somebody’s life you’re holding,” Kassandra Strahler said. “If you don’t have complete trust in the person that’s holding you, you will never succeed as a team.”
“I had never even heard of a Zamboni,” Daryl Hildebrand said.
“But I do think throwing your hands up in the air and saying I’m doing everything I can do and we’re still losing, that’s not what’s happening,” Chris Bergeron said.
Miami baseball didn’t exactly bring the heat last weekend, even though it was much warmer in College Station, Texas, than it was in Oxford.
“Pretty ugly game,” Miami head coach Chris Bergeron said.
Miami overcame tough odds, defeating Northern Illinois, 65-60, Saturday at Millett Hall.
The Miami RedHawks will play baseball this weekend.
“We have to be better. We have to get better,” Jack Owens said.
If you were to take a quick glance at Miami’s record, one could reason the season has been underwhelming.
Miami missed five of its final 11 free throws and lost a close one to the Western Michigan Broncos, 64-60, Tuesday at Millett Hall.

“I think it’s going to be two teams that are hungry for a win," Miami head coach Jack Owens said.

While most of the student body was celebrating the holidays, the men’s basketball RedHawks were hard at work, trying to show their young core could hang with the rest of the Mid-American Conference.
Will Bolton still can’t believe his time with Miami's club soccer team is over.
“Obviously, it’s not a happy mood in the locker room,” freshman guard Dae Dae Grant said. “We’re not happy at all with the outcome.”
Nike Sibande stepped up and helped Miami win a wild game for its first MAC victory of the season.
