After the 2024-25 season, Miami University hockey Head Coach Anthony Noreen and his staff cut ties with almost every player on the roster. The cuts and transfers (along with the eventual influx of new names) signaled a new era at Goggin Ice Center, and the team’s results in the 2025-26 season showed what is possible for the program moving forward.

Oxford is known for many things: Uptown bars, red-brick buildings and now a historic basketball team. But, Oxford has a lesser-known legacy of maple syrup excellence. The 59th annual Maple Syrup Festival, spanning two weekends, will conclude the weekend of March 14 and 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hueston Woods State Park Lodge and Beach.

The Miami University men’s golf team divides its season between the fall and spring semesters. The team used the fall season as a foundation for growth, and though the RedHawks began the spring with a losing record, they plan to use the experience to prepare for the rest of the season and for the MAC championship in May.

"No Registration, No Draft, No War" was the theme of the anti-draft rally held under the watertower March 4. Approximately 150 people listened to six speakers, including Mike Mendelvitz, left, sponsored by Citizens for Peace. Members of the group attended another rally March 22 in Washington, D.C.

While the Miami University basketball teams are turning heads on the north side of campus at Millett Hall, RedHawks sports fans can also head to Goggin Ice Center on the south side to see the men’s hockey team take the ice. And, like those basketball teams, there has been significant tangible improvement for head coach Anthony Noreen’s group on the ice over halfway through the 2025-26 season.
