Students and faculty grouped up outside of the Armstrong Student Center, ready to greet Make it Miami guests early April 10.
Members from the groups Faculty Alliance of Miami, Young Democratic Socialists of America, Ohio Student Organization and College Democrats joined together, wielding posters and leading chants.
Volunteers handed out flyers explaining why they opposed the Cook Field arena project, protested U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and voiced concerns for lack of funding for majors. The group moved towards Roudebush Hall, conducting shouts, where both faculty and students gave speeches.
