It’s the start of a new semester at Miami University, and excitement is building as first-year students settle in and familiar faces return. However, many Miami athletes have been on campus since mid-summer, engaged in rigorous preseason training, preparing not only to establish new legacies but also to carry forward past triumphs.

Kayla Perfect joins the RedHawks in pursuit of former glory

Every year, Courtney Sirman is faced with different team leadership and chemistry, which can affect the program as a whole. While the team has eight rising seniors to rely on this year, its continued success will also fall on nine incoming first-years, including Kayla Perfect from Medina, Ohio.

Miami club baseball’s superb season stifled at regional tournament

Miami University’s club baseball has never made it to the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) regional tournament, an honor reserved for conference winners. Miami, which is in the Mid-Atlantic West Conference, had a season like it's never seen before in 2022-23. The RedHawks went 14-1 in conference (and 26-6-1 overall) and ran away with the Mid-Atlantic West this year.
