’Hawks attempt first win against ACC team

The Miami University women's tennis team travels to Virginia for a set of tournaments split between the team. Four RedHawks face the University of Virginia in Charlottesville for the UVA Invitational, and the rest of the team takes on Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
The RedHawks have improved in every offensive category over the last two seasons: total yardage, points per game, first downs - the list goes on. But according to head coach Chuck Martin, Miami fans shouldn't get ahead of themselves.
I'm sitting on the very edge in the front row, regretting my choice to wear jeans instead of a skirt or a dress. Everyone else in the room looks much fancier than I do.

It's now been a decade since Miami has won the Battle for the Victory Bell rivalry over University of Cincinnati.
In the oldest active non-conference rivalry in college football, Miami takes on University of Cincinnati in the Battle of the Victory Bell.
