National protests spread to Miami’s campus

In the past weeks, student protesters in support of Palestine at Columbia University and New York University erected encampments in solidarity and were arrested for breaking university guidelines. On Miami University’s campus, more than 15 students participated in a walkout on April 19 in support of students who were arrested at Columbia. The event was arranged by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and took place between Roudebush Hall and the seal in the center of academic quad on Miami’s campus.


Adam Savage captivates with stories of his winding career

When Adam Savage walked on stage in the Wilks Theater in Armstrong Student Center at Miami University on Tuesday, the audience would’ve been satisfied if he talked about “Mythbusters” for an hour. Instead, Savage explained his treasure map of a career path while sprinkling in advice for the students in the crowd.










Citizens ask for more transparency following officer’s use of force

On Thursday, Feb. 15, Oxford’s Police Community Relations and Review Commission (PCRRC) held an open meeting for commissioners and the public to question and voice concerns over an Oxford police officer’s use of force during the arrest of Miami University football player Devin Johnson on Nov. 18, 2023.
