As a kid, I loved reading and writing, especially about my dreams. I grew up with an incredibly imaginative mind.

My love for writing stems from my early days reading Harry Potter and writing fictional stories or recollections of my oddly vivid dreams.

I joined The Miami Student originally as a sports writer, since my family is essentially centered around being fans of the University of Georgia’s football team. I love covering Miami University sports, especially football and baseball.

I started writing for the Opinion section as an outlet for my strong feelings about my disability. I’m now at a place where I feel comfortable publicizing my struggles and using my story to advocate for myself and others in similar circumstances.

I’m a sucker for a clickbait-y title, what I’ve come to realize is just punchy journalism and a great outlet for the grievances I have with the world at large.

I also served as the editor for the Photo section of The Student and discovered a love for photography, especially sports photography. It means a lot to me to be able to capture memories in moments on any camera, not just my Nikon.

My hope is that my pieces prompt people to think and care more about the things I chose to write about.
