Multiple Oxford Police Department and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to an incident at Hawks Nest Landing the night of Oct. 7.
According to an email from the Hawks Landing management, the activity was due to the death of one of the residents of the building. Hawks Landing became student housing at the start of the semester.
“These situations are particularly difficult for everyone, and we ask that you keep [the] family & friends in your thoughts and prayers,” the statement said.
Seth Bauguess, senior director of communications at Miami University, confirmed a Miami student died in their apartment, and said the Oxford Police Departmnet was investigating, but there has been no indication of foul play.
