OU runs over men's basketball

Men's basketball lost 79-62 to instate and Mid-American Conference rival, Ohio University on Tuesday evening. The teams traded runs throughout the contest and Miami came up 17 short.

Women's Collegiate Baseball Club: First in the U.S.

Nineteen people gathered in room 123 of Phillips Hall, 13 women and six men. Three faculty members and 16 students. Several sat next to each other, some thumbed through their phones and a couple decided to introduce themselves and chat quietly until the meeting began. Callie Maddox began to talk. The room got quiet but the enthusiasm level got louder.

Men's basketball loses to KSU, Buffalo

Miami men's basketball dropped both their Tuesday contest against the Kent State Flashes and their Saturday game against the University of Buffalo Bulls. Both games were away and Miami continues to struggle to find victory on the road and victory against Mid-American Conference opponents.

The Band of the Brotherhood -- The Heart of Goggin

Upon the end of a busy academic week, each student decompresses in their own way (some legal, others not). For many, weekends in October to March are for one thing: hockey. Fans make their way to Goggin in droves to watch our beloved RedHawks, ready to scream their heads off cheering. Students and locals pack into the arena, and are led in cheers by the one and only Band of the Brotherhood -- Miami's Pep Band.

Hockey swept by St. Cloud State

Miami men's hockey was swept by the St. Cloud State Huskies on the road this weekend. The RedHawks lost both games, 4-2 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Intramural Hustle: Part 1

In high school, we were all told that if we worked hard, stayed late and played well, we would have a chance to earn a coveted scholarship to a school that had Division I teams. Some of us did achieve this through countless hours spent in the gym and on the field, but an overwhelming majority of us did not (and carry immense amounts of jealousy for those that did).

Women's basketball wins second in a row

The Miami University women's basketball team grabbed its second consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Eastern Michigan University by a score of 79-63. With the win, the RedHawks improve to 9-16 (3-9 MAC) while the Eagles fall to 6-18 (1-11 MAC).

Women's basketball takes down Akron to break losing skid

The Miami University women's basketball team picked up a crucial win on Wednesday night, taking down intrastate rival University of Akron 54-49 in front of a Millet Hall crowd. The victory breaks a six game losing streak for the RedHawks (8-16, 2-9 MAC), who had not won a game since January 11th.

Women's basketball falls at home to Ball State

The Miami University women's basketball team dropped its sixth straight game on Saturday afternoon to Ball State University by a score of 81-60. The RedHawks (7-16, 1-9 MAC) hung tough with one of the MAC's top teams, but found themselves unable to overcome a slow start.
