With the 2018 season fast approaching, the race to fill openings within Miami football's starting lineup has been fierce throughout the offseason. In the defensive backfield, junior college transfer Zedrick Raymond has impressed -- despite his quiet demeanor off the field, Raymond plays the game fast and technically sound.




Football RedHawks begin spring practice

The Miami RedHawks football team took the practice field for the first time on Sunday during the spring practice session. Much like last year, many familiar faces littered Ben Roethlisberger field inside the indoor practice facility, while at the same time, solid contributors such as Heath Harding, Ryan Smith, and Tony Reid are gone and must be replaced by younger RedHawks.


Martin's contract extended through 2020

Following a breakthrough 2016 season in which the Miami RedHawks football program won six straight games to reach bowl eligibility, many expected the 2017 campaign to bring a Mid-American Conference Championship to Oxford. However, following an underwhelming 5-7 season full of missed opportunities and disappointing losses, the Red and White failed to take the next step many were hoping to see.


Miami Football 2017: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The 2017 Miami Football RedHawks appeared full of promise in late August as students returned to Oxford for the fall semester. Coming off a six-game regular-season win streak and a bowl berth against an SEC foe, the Red and White seemed poised to make a run at a Mid-American Conference championship with major players including Gus Ragland, Heath Harding, and James Gardner all returning.
