It’s a myth that all disabilities are the same. The truth is exactly the opposite. Even the same diagnosis can be completely different for one person compared to another.
You may be familiar with the waves of students that line the sidewalks on campus during the “peak times.” We’re all going to or coming from the same place: an academic building, a dining hall, King Library or maybe Armstrong Student Center.
Every city I’ve been to has been the same. Not by how it looks, but by what you will find there. Police stations, fire stations, hospitals, restaurant chains (though these may vary by state), etc. However, there is one thing that you will always notice no matter what city you’re in: street names are always similar.
Starting college is a big adjustment for anyone because many things are different from high school. My experience has been no different. Here are some of the biggest differences I’ve noticed since being on campus:
