Members from the groups Faculty Alliance of Miami, Young Democratic Socialists of America, Ohio Student Association (OSA) and College Democrats joined together to host what they called “May day,” a funeral for Cook Field May 1.
“This is what we’ve been working towards,” said Kali Barcroft, the president of OSA, “Our voices have been actively silenced.”
People shared speeches, expressing their frustrations that they have felt ignored by the Board of Trustees. They then marched along Cook Field, leading chants.
