I’ve lived in Ohio all my life, except for a few years in Yorba Linda, California. I came to Miami University in the fall of 2023 and got involved on campus wherever I could.
That didn’t include The Miami Student, however. I enjoyed reading the physical newspapers in the dining hall, but didn’t want to write myself.
That changed when I was invited by Gavin McGonagle, a former opinion columnist, to write an article about the legacy of Pope Francis, after his passing in the spring of 2025. I enjoyed the writing process much more than I expected, and I decided to officially join The Student at the start of my junior year.
Now, I write sensible pieces on topics I care about, and think others should know too. I aim to write with intention and brevity, often covering matters affecting culture and student life.
Aside from writing, I’m the marketing director for the Miami Catholic Newman Center and the deputy grand knight for Oxford’s Knights of Columbus. I’m also a senator for the Associated Student Government, and I host a live metal and rock radio show, “Soul Wars,” at RedHawk Radio.
I put a lot of thought into my articles, and I hope you read them in the same manner.
