RedHawks turn to Bahl in search of road win

The 2017 season was supposed to be a breakout year for the Miami RedHawks football program. Following an unexpected six-game win streak in the 2016-17 season, the 'Hawks returned starting quarterback Gus Ragland with experienced weapons on offense and an aggressive defense full of veteran playmakers. However, at the halfway point of the season the 'Hawks sit at a disappointing 2-4. With the exception of Notre Dame, the RedHawks have had their chances to be 5-1, but improbable turnovers at crucial junctions has doomed Miami.

In a shootout that saw both sides combine for 1,117 total yards, Miami football found itself on the losing end for the second consecutive week in a heartbreaking 37-29 defeat to Bowling Green State University.

The Miami RedHawks continued their undefeated conference play this weekend with a 2-1 victory over Longwood University on Sunday and a decisive 1-0 win over the reigning Mid-American Conference champions Kent State University on Friday.

Miami hockey loses heartbreaker to Providence

Miami hockey battled to overcome a 2-0 deficit against the Providence College Friars on Saturday, but the Friars scored in the final second of play to win 3-2. With Miami's heartbreaking loss, Providence took both games of the non-conference Friday-Saturday series.

Hockey opens season against No. 5 Providence

Miami hockey opens the 2017-18 season at home tonight at 7:35 p.m. with a non-conference game against the No. 5 Providence Friars. The RedHawks look to bounce back from last season's 9-20-7 record (5-14-5 National Collegiate Hockey Conference) with the help of returning captain senior defenseman Louis Belpedio and seven freshmen.
