Hillel responds to anti-Semitism by turning 'hate into love'

Two weeks ago Logan Goddard, a former Miami University student, requested money from a Miami University student for a "plane ticket to auschwitz concentration camp" and a "toasted bagel (gas chamber jews)." In response, Hillel, an organization for Jewish students, is giving students money to donate to anti-hate charities.




History class completes American immigration process

On Friday, April 26, students gathered in 322 McGuffey Hall, which had been transformed to mimic a courtroom. A judge sat at the front wearing long robes, and someone rapped a gavel on a table to signal the beginning of the ceremony. Students gripped American flags as they prepared to take an oath of citizenship at this mock naturalization ceremony.







Plan to restructure ASG's executive cabinet to possibly be voted on tonight

Members of Associated Student Government (ASG) have developed a plan to restructure their executive cabinet. The proposed changes would lower the number of cabinet positions from 15 to 12 with the goal of attempting to make cabinet more effective by condensing the number of positions.










Number of applicants decreased for incoming class of 2023

The composition of Miami University's international student population will change with the class of 2023, as the number of Chinese students applying to Miami is down 37 percent from last year's numbers. The number of domestic student applications has stayed relatively constant, and Miami has admitted more students overall than it did last year.
