COVID dashboard update

Miami University’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 62 estimated active student cases and no active university employee cases as of April 8. 

Between March 31 and April 6 Miami University performed 2,786 surveillance tests for students and 474 for employees. The seven-day moving average new positive cases is 3.3 per day.

No residence halls are listed at Level 3 or Level 4 advisory. Level 3 indicates at least one floor of the building has had three or more positive tests in the last seven days. Level 4 indicates at least 5% of the floor tested positive in the last seven days, and there is statistical evidence of a cluster.

Six out of 35 residence halls are at Level 2 advisory, meaning the hall has one to two positive cases in the last seven days. All other halls are at a Level 1 advisory — no students residing in those halls have tested positive in the last seven days.

Since August, 3,277 students have tested positive as well as 111 employees, out of 85,179 tests administered by the university.

As of April 8, eight students are in isolation, and three are in quarantine.
