Three slates to run for student body president and vice president

As of Friday, Feb. 26, three tickets have met the requirements to run for student body president (SBP) and vice president (VP). The candidates may begin officially campaigning after 6 p.m. on Friday.

Trey Petrella (SBP) and Ruku Pal (VP), Vada Stephens (SBP) and Lena Giang (VP), and Madelyn Jett (SBP) and Aidan McKeon (VP) are the three slates currently in the running for the presidency.

Trey Petrella is a junior double majoring in human capital management and leadership and Italian studies. He is currently the secretary for on-campus affairs for Miami’s Associated Student Government (ASG).

Ruku Pal is a junior studying business economics and entrepreneurship. She currently holds the position of Secretary of Academic Affairs within ASG.  

Vada Stephens is a junior professional writing and music performance double major. He is a college of creative arts academic senator in ASG.

Lena Giang is a sophomore psychology and business economics major. She is a College of Arts and Science academic senator in ASG. 

Madelyn Jett is a junior marketing major in the China business program. She is a Farmer School of Business academic senator in ASG.

Aidan McKeon is a junior arts management and history double major and is currently an off-campus senator within ASG. 

SBP elections will be held March 15-17 on the Hub.
