Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tested positive for the coronavirus Thursday morning. He is not currently experiencing any symptoms.
According to a state press release, the 73-year-old was evaluated as part of protocol to meet President Donald Trump on the tarmac at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, where the latter arrives this afternoon.
Lt. Gov. Jon Husted also took a COVID-19 test before the president’s scheduled visit, but his results came back negative.
DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine are returning to Columbus to take another test. Afterward, they plan to quarantine at their Cedarville home for the next two weeks.
