Q. Where are you from, where did you go to college and what was your major?
A. I’m originally from Louisville, Ky. I have a PhD from Michigan State University, and a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Louisville.
Q. How did you become interested you in the position?
A. Anyone familiar with this university and the quality of people involved with its educational mission would be interested in being a part of this community.
Q. As the dean of Farmer School of Business (FSB), what does your job entail? What are some of your goals?
A. The dean of FSB is responsible for providing the students, staff and faculty with the tools they need to do their jobs well, for helping to raise funds to assist in achieving the school’s goals and for being a solid representative of both the Farmer School and Miami University.
Q. What aspect of Miami excites you the most?
A. What excites me most is how engaged everyone is, from alumni to faculty and staff to students, in the effort to represent this institution and participate in its mission. Not every university has that level of dedication from all its constituencies, and Miami is truly exceptional in that regard.
