Oxford police on foot patrol at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday noticed a male outside of Pachinko's bar holding a disposable cup filled with what appeared to be beer. When officers approached him, the male reportedly turned away from the officer and threw his cup to the ground. He was identified as Miami University sophomore Kevin Gusweiler, 20. When questioned about what he was drinking, Gusweiler reportedly said he thought he was drinking Natural Light Beer. Gusweiler was cited for having an open container and for underage consumption.

Oxford police responded to a burglary in progress at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday at 99 Acorn Circle. When investigating the call of someone trying to break into the residence, officers reportedly observed a male standing inside the screen door of the residence, but outside the main door. Officers identified him as Miami sophomore Robert Marsee, 20. Police spoke to resident Chris Gibson, and he said the male had been banging on the door and trying to get in the lower level. Marsee was reportedly missing one shoe, covered in mud and water and smelled strongly of alcohol. Marsee was charged with criminal trespass, underage consumption and disorderly conduct and
transported back to Fisher Hall.

Miami grad flees accident scene after hitting vehicle

Oxford police were alerted by callers to dispatch that at 2:10 a.m. Friday that a black SUV parked at Bruno's Pizza had backed up into another car and left the scene. Callers told police that a thin black male driving the SUV had crossed both lanes of traffic on High Street when he hit the vehicle before driving east. A car matching the description was located in a parking lot behind Swing Hall. According to the report, police called a tow truck. The license plates of the SUV were run and police identified the owner to be Miami graduate student Antonio Lytle. Police reportedly tried to call Lytle with no answer. A black male reportedly then came out of Swing Hall asking where the car was being towed. He allegedly denied to the officers who the car belonged to but continually asked where it was going. Oxford police contacted the Miami University Police Department (MUPD) about the incident, and MUPD's records stated that Lytle had used his keycard to enter Swing at about the time of the accident. After police asked where Lytle had been that evening, he admitted to a birthday celebration at 45 East Bar, driving home and striking the vehicle. Lytle performed poorly on a sobriety test and was taken into custody. Lytle was allegedly found to have a 0.16 percent blood alcohol content. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, backing up into a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
