Police discover sophomore in possession of 2 fake IDs

At almost midnight Tuesday, an Oxford police officer stopped a vehicle on South Campus Avenue for a speeding violation.

According to the report, the male driver pulled out his insurance card and a Missouri driver's license. After looking at the Missouri license, the driver quickly put it back in his wallet and produced a different Missouri license for the officer.

Reportedly, the officer asked to see the driver's wallet. Upon inspection, the officer found a Missouri driver's license for a 23-year-old. The male allegedly told the officer that the 23-year-old driver's license was his friend's.

The officer then reportedly found another Missouri driver's license for a 22-year-old. Both the 22-year-old and 23-year old licenses were found to be fake. The male was identified as Miami sophomore James Sansone. He was charged with possession of a fake I.D., speeding and weaving.



MUPD respond to marijuana complaint in Anderson Hall

Around midnight Monday, Miami University police responded to Anderson Hall for a drug complaint.

Upon arrival, the responding officers allegedly met with the on-duty residence adviser outside of room 311. The RA stated that during a routine walk-through of the building, she noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the room.

MUPD reportedly made contact with the room's residents, Miami first-years Marianne Maczko and Mary Louis. According to reports, Maczko stated that she had been smoking marijuana. Maczko was charged with possession of drugs and was reportedly cooperative throughout the entire process.

Louis said she had been smoking marijuana and surrendered a multi-colored glass pipe with residue and two bags containing a small amount of a substance appearing to be marijuana.She was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and was reportedly cooperative as well.
