Oxford police respond to report of indecent exposure

A Miami junior reported to Oxford police at almost 3 a.m. Thursday morning that a man had trespassed and exposed himself at her South Main Street residence. She reportedly told officers that when she came home, she was trying to wake up her roommate by banging on the windows of the house because she forgot her key. She said a man approached her at her house and asked if she wanted to go home with him. The student reportedly told him that she wouldn't and told him to leave. She told police that he then pulled down his pants and exposed himself to him. The student said she was going to call the police and he left. She told officers that he was a man in his 40s and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey sweat pants. Detectives at OPD collected information on the case and subsequently arrested Oxford resident Robert Paxton, 29. He has been charged with public indecency.
