Early Friday morning, Oxford Police Department (OPD) was dispatched around 3 a.m. to McDonald's on South Locust in regards to a female asleep in her vehicle in the drive-thru.
As officers arrived at the scene, it was reported that the car was moving toward the pickup window.
As the officer approached the vehicle, he could smell alcohol emanating from the car. He told the female to pull forward into the parking lot.
Upon further investigation, the officer identified the driver as Miami University junior Brittney H. Levine.
Reportedly she smelled of alcohol and her eyes were bloodshot and glassy. Allegedly when questioned, Levine stated that she would never drive while impaired and she fell asleep in the drive-thru because it was taking so long and she was tired. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken back to OPD for further testing.
Her blood alcohol content was determined to be a .146 percent and she was charged with driving under the influence.

Witnesses assist first-year after falling on skull, face
Residents of 514 S. Main Street summoned Oxford police to their residence at almost midnight last Thursday after reportedly witnessing a male fall on his skull on the front steps.
As officers arrived, they noticed a scuffle ensuing within the house as witnesses were trying to tend to his wound. As Officer Reising approached the front door, Miami University first-year Bryan A. Ford ran out of the house, casting off residents holding him back, and dove over the front porch railing into the officer.
According to the report, witnesses explained that Ford got off a Miami Metro bus and walked across the street looking for "some friends." He then allegedly fell face first into the sidewalk leading up to the house.
Officers reported seeing a large pool of blood on the near-by sidewalk before Ford ran out of the house.
Witnesses told they realized that Ford was lost and intoxicated, and so they helped him until additional help arrived. Ford reportedly smelled strongly of alcohol and he required the officer's assistance to stand. He was transported to McCullough Hyde Hospital and cited with underage intoxication.
