Politicians at all levels of government are always spewing rhetoric about the best ways to solve the high tuition costs at the nation's colleges and universities. Meanwhile at Miami University and at other Ohio public universities, the Ohio Legislature capped tuition but that remedy has not made much of an impact on the tuition bill.…

Last May, I was less than enthusiastic about spending my summer in Oxford. After all, I thought, what could Oxford offer apart from Miami? Cornfields? Like many students, I assumed that the university made this town. We put Oxford on the map. We bring in the commerce, we populate the streets.…

Oxford is a college town and many college students drink, therefore there is drinking in Oxford. I understand that Miami has had students die in alcohol related incidents, but creating an environment where students avoid officers at all costs does not make me feel safe.…
