Fake ID results in multiple citations for MU sophomore
At nearly 11:30 p.m. Aug. 23, Miami University sophomore Sloane Gerrity was stopped by OPD in the alley of 110 S. Main St. because Office Matt Chadwell saw Gerrity carrying an open container of alcohol. During the stop, Gerrity gave OPD his brother's Florida driver's license. According to the reports, Gerrity then signed the citation as his brother, Ryan Gerrity, 22. The following day, Gerrity called Chadwell stating he had not been honest with Chadwell and provided false information to him. The report states that Gerrity was then arrested and transferred to Butler County Jail. Gerrity was charged with forgery, obstruction of official business, underage possession of alcohol, certain acts prohibited and for an open container.

Male ignores calls from police, shoulder taps
Just past midnight Saturday morning, Oxford police while on foot patrol at Poplar and Vine witnessed a male screaming and using profane language. Officers said that it appeared that he was trying to go after someone else on the street but was being restrained by another male.
According to the reports, despite being called to by the police and being tapped on the shoulder, he looked over his shoulder and took off running. Officers then said he abruptly fell down to the ground and hit his mouth and head. Life squad arrived to transport him to McCullough Hyde Hospital where he was identified as Miami University junior Joseph Guth. Guth was cited for violating noise restrictions, obstructing official business and underage intoxication.
Intoxicated Miami first-year accepts 'unknown drinks'
Just past midnight Sunday morning, Sgt. John Buchholz from OPD noticed a "young looking female" sitting and bent over, being supported by two females. She was identified as first-year Anna Maiorca, 18. According to the report, Maiorca appeared extremely intoxicated, could not stand without support and had slurred speech. According to Buchholz, she vomited initially then dry-heaved through most of their interaction. Maiorca then allegedly stated that she gave into peer pressure and accepted unknown drinks. She was cited for underage intoxication.
Slurring student denies Sat. night's alcohol consumption
At about 1:14 a.m. Aug. 26, Officer Josh Jenkins of the Oxford Police Department witnessed a male lying on the ground outside of Pachinko Bar and Grill. Jenkins approached the male and identified him as Miami University first-year Daniel B. Wilbur, 18.
According to reports, after the initial interaction Jenkins discovered Wilbur's speech was slurred very badly and he reacted very slowly when asked to present a driver's license.
Wilbur also reportedly had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. Wilbur allegedly denied having anything to drink that night. Wilbur was taken back the OPD where he reportedly asked, "If I would have told you the truth about how much I had to drink, would I be in this much trouble?" Wilbur was cited for underage intoxication.
