Greek life director resigns, replacement search begins

"When you get a summer resignation, you want the best pool of candidates you possibly can," Roberts said. "And generally in the summertime it's a little bit more difficult to find candidates."

However, the office wanted someone in the position at the beginning of this semester, so they chose Robles to fill in as the interim director.

While Robles is moving up from one of the assistant director positions, the other former assistant director, Tara Hawthorne, is leaving to pursue her master's degree. This means that two more positions in Cliff Alexander have opened up.

Robles mentioned that they have already hired Scott Irlbacher from the fraternity and sorority life office at Pennsylvania State University, to fill one of the assistant director positions. Irlbacher is expected to start next month pending on his ability to find housing and move to Oxford.

"We are currently searching for an interim assistant director and we're hoping to have that search wrapped up this week," Robles said.
