Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Miami University Police Officer Lampl and Oxford Police Officer Peter Reising were on joint patrol when they came across a male lying in a flowerbed in front of the Oxford Municipal Building bleeding from the face. He was later identified as Miami junior Ryan Coli.

According to the reports, the officers stopped two individuals walking away from the scene.
