RSC cuts back on energy costs
To help Miami University during its budget crunch, several steps are being taken to conserve energy around campus, with the Recreational Sports Center (RSC) looking to making the first step with an entire energy retrofit over winter break. According to Doug Curry, director of the RSC, the RSC was asked by Miami's budget office to cut back costs by $83,966 for this fiscal year.… 1 Comment

A minimum grade point average (GPA) will now be required of all students looking to study abroad or participate in travel programs while studying at Miami University. Bicentennial celebration expands beyond Oxford

As Miami University's Bicentennial committee plans its celebration of the university's 200th birthday in Oxford, Miami's department of alumni relations is working to expand the celebration across the country and around the world. The small recycling bin sitting atop a trashcan in front of King Library may not look like much, but it is part of a larger initiative to investigate recycling on Miami University's campus. Hillel to attend Matisyahu concert Dec. 11

Miami University's chapter of Hillel, a Jewish campus organization, will be attending Hasidic Jewish rapper Matisyahu's concert Dec. 11 in Cincinnati.
