Court finds student guilty of burglary

Former Miami University football player Zachary Marshall was found guilty of burglary Oct. 15. According to police, Marshall entered the dorm room of a female student in Havighurst Hall May 21 and assaulted her, allegedly smothering her with a pillow. The guilty verdict was announced at the Butler County Court of Common Pleas after a four-hour jury deliberation.… 5 Comments

Study looks at campus driving habits

Despite the fact that Oxford has been historically considered a pedestrian-friendly campus, a new study of Miami University's transportation shows dependence on personal vehicles by students, faculty and staff has transformed Oxford into a "car campus." According to Miami's new Campus Transportation Study, 70 percent of travel-trips taken to, from and around campus, by university students, faculty and staff-is in a vehicle.… 1 Comment
