Golf coach to appear on TV show

Miami University's new men's golf coach, Casey Lubahn, and his wife, Rachel, had the opportunity of a lifetime in the summer of 2008 when they were offered a spot on the Golf Channel's hit reality show "The Big Break X: Michigan." Apollo 13 astronaut lands at Miami to share flight experiences

In 1970, Capt. Jim Lovell piloted a damaged spacecraft back to Earth after an explosion 200,000 miles away. Wednesday, at age 80, he flew himself to Oxford, Ohio to present a $10,000 scholarship to a senior physics major. The Apollo 13 astronaut's visit was filled with reflection, laughter and celebration, with Miami University President David Hodge introducing Lovell with a flashback to his childhood.… Post the First Comment

Miami revamps telephone system to use data network

Soon, all phone calls to and from Miami University will be made using Miami's high-speed data network. Miami will change its entire telecommunications system to a new technology called Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) in the next two weeks.
