Due to a recent change in university scheduling, Miami University students will have a slightly shorter summer than they have had in the past. While many Miami University students in Oxford practiced their dance moves uptown this weekend, others danced to a slightly different routine - to a stomp dance, that is. New chef, higher turnout among changes at Panache
Miami University's hybrid of a dining hall and restaurant, Panache, has offered students a unique dining experience for more than a year and a half, and recently, business seems to be booming. Playwright to spotlight Freedom Summer 1964

Miami University's department of theater is in the early planning stages of a project to commemorate Freedom Summer of 1964, through a museum exhibit set to open this summer and theatrical performance set to open in 2009. Miami assistant theater professor Ann Armstrong invited Carlyle Brown to be playwright-in-residence for the spring semester, and he agreed to work on displaying the history of Miami's involvement in the civil rights movement.… Post the First Comment

Even after one deadline extension, the full semester version of Miami University's Inside Washington Program has yet to meet quota. Since 1998, Miami has sent students to Washington, D.C. to gain experience in the nation's capitol. Talawanda experiences transition in leadership

Two members of the Talawanda Board of Education tendered resignations last week under two different circumstances. Both treasurer Jim Rowan and board member Mollie Hansel have resigned from their posts to pursue other positions. Endangered species, overpopulation politics and words of advice from a seasoned journalist were all topics covered by John Nielsen, science correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR) at his speech at the Miami University Art Museum Friday. First there were eco-friendly cars running on alternate fuel, and now there are environmentally friendly art centers - at least that's the goal for Ohio Valley Creative Energy (OVCE) and Miami University students.
