Pollitz twins find strength in faith

Abstract:
Tim Pollitz faced an array of expectations coming into this season. As the only senior on Miami's basketball team, he was expected to be a leader both on and off the court. As the first Miami basketball player in five years to earn first-team all MAC honors, he was expected to be the RedHawks'
top performer....

It is very uplifting and refreshing to read about these brothers and their Christian faith. For them to not only talk about, but also show, that they live all aspects of their lives as Christians and are leading others through their leadership to Christ is awesome. In this day when so many athletes are so self-centered and turning to drugs and illegal substances to make themselves "better" players, our children and young adults need to read and hear about people like Tim and Eric Pollitz. May God continue to bless them and thank you very much for publishing their story.

They seem like very nice boys. Although, in fairness, being Christian has nothing to do with their success. I also am a Christian and played basketball in college, although many years ago!

Their faith is fantastic, but their success has NOTHING to do with God. It has to do with Tim and Eric.

Too often, we blame and praise God too much. Give credit to ourselves every now and then.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Therefore, we are supposed to praise God for everything. He is the reason we succeed.
