Which presidential nominee will you vote for in this election?

To the right are the results of a The Miami Student poll conducted Oct. 30, with a sample of 161 students.

Students said that economy was the most important issue of the campaign, followed by foreign policy, health care, environmental and energy policies and finally education.

According to a recent poll conducted by CBS News, The Chronicle of Higher Education and UWire, 59 percent of Miami students planning to vote Nov. 4 support Barack Obama and 37 percent plan to vote for John McCain. The poll was conducted online with a sample of 356 students.

Of the 25,000 students polled at four-year colleges and universities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Colorado, more than 60 percent preferred Obama to McCain.
