Students mistake Door-to-Door number

I am writing this letter as a public service reminder to students who use the Nighttime Door-to-Door (NDD) escort van, and especially to those students whose recent attempts to reach the NDD have failed.

I have been informed by a faculty member who has received numerous messages from students attempting to call NDD. These students don't realize that they are calling the WRONG NUMBER. Instead of calling the correct number for NDD, (513) 593-2716, students are mistakenly calling (513) 529-2716.

Many students calling the wrong number have left angry and offensive messages, including profanities, and for their behavior, I want to apologize to the faculty member receiving these unwarranted calls. I appreciate his patience while we try to correct the problem.

The NDD escort van has been a safe and efficient service for more than 20 years, and passenger safety is our highest priority. Those who call the right number can be assured of prompt service.

If you've been riding with us, thanks for riding with us: you've got our number right [(513) 593-2716].

If you're not calling that number, please put the right number in your cell phone's speed-dial or on your bulletin board.

Don't let the wrong number leave you in the dark.

Thank you.
